5.0 out of 5 stars The best romance mystery combo I’ve read. I haven’t read a romance or mystery book in years but I literally couldn’t put this book down! I finished it within just a few sittings, starting on a plane ride. The author keeps you at the edge of your seat with a plot line that is filled with unpredictable twists and makes you feel like you’re right there on this adventure with with protagonist. The language is easy to read while the tone and words chosen are filled with such a high level of richness that light up your senses. Even as someone who doesn’t particularly believe in the paranormal world, I was filled with empathy for the characters. The romantic plot line is sweet and written in such a way that you want to feel with the protagonist feels for her love interest. By the end of the book, I was ignoring everyone around me and enveloped in this world Missy Terrell has created. This beautifully written page turner just kept me leaving wanting more. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
There are books that you read that don't really stay with you, you remember the plot, but not the characters' names or really any details. This book is NOT like any other I have read. And I loved it. It was just the right pace and the plot... OMG it is so unique. This book is a book that you will fight to put down. It is clever and so good to read.
I found myself loving the concept of this book. It had magic, ghost, revenge, and drama. I enjoyed every second of it. The main characters felt complex and made it interesting to read. The pace also made it an addicting book. The speed was perfect and every chapter felt hard to put down. One happy surprise I got was the humor. This book made me laugh at many moments through the story. I will definitly be reading more books from this author in the future.
